Daycare

My vpk is from 8-1130. Mom has to study for her boards this coming Jan 28th so she had to put me at the daycare for the next three weeks. It will only be temporary as I know Mom loves to spend time with me!
Ms. Pammie was so generous. She did not bill my mom for the past week. She knows that Mom had to study! She even offered mom not to pay them until Mom finds a work and passes her boards. Of course Mom refused that offer. Mom and Dad can afford to pay and refuses to take advantage of this very kind help!
I am enjoying my first week so far! It's good to be with my friends Hayden, Daniel & Joe, Johnathan, Makayla, Kelsym & Anna. My teachers Ms. Julie & Ms. Cristina are the best!

Happy New Year!
Here's a picture of our feast at the Mandapat's home!Potluck style! We have inihaw na liempo, korean ribs, honeybaked ham, chicken with coconut milk, halabos na hipon, pancit molo, steamed young bokchoy in garlic sauce, buko pandan, cassave cake, tiramisu etc etc. I just have to go to the gym afterwards! Ang sarap kumain talaga!

What a great party! We played charades and sing a christmas carol until Ate Bernadette emerged as the winner. She knew all the christmas songs! At 1100, we all had wine in our hands and a kiss from our loved one as we celebrated New Year ( We were watching ABC & they are at eastern time so it was an hour earlier for us!
At 12 midnight, we had firewors where all the kids had a great time too! Good friends, great food! Thank you Lord for a blessed 2009! We are looking forward to 2010!
(I cant believe I didnt post too much when a lot happened this year..oh well)

I can sing Manila Manila I keep coming back to Manila. The entire song! Mom has to post that video! No kidding! I used to sing "A very special love" last March when my dad was in the Philippines. Dad would not have approved of that but what can I say? Mom raised me to be a music lover just like her!
Tita Tet loves it when I sing it to her on the phone! That is why she is giving me Mario Kart cartridge for my dsi this Christmas! Am I really gonna get my dsi? I sure do hope so. Ive been very good this year!

Life is a bliss!
We went to the beach last Saturday (and also last Saturday..oh and the day before that..and everytime we want to..because it is one of the things we love to do) and as always, Miguel had a blast!
He loves hitting the waves, playing the sand in his hands, building a castle, putting water on his bucket, sorting his beach toys, running etc!
Most of all, he loves to hang out with his dad! His dad rocks his world. (He does the same thing to me son.)
He is scared of the tiny fishes that comes his way! And the ship that had a canyon thingy..Boom Boom! Miguel ran to his dad as fast as he could.
The water is so clear! The waves make him calm! The sand is powdery soft!
Life is a bliss! God is good!

It's summer in the Sunshine state! My day will not be complete without a trip to the pool or playing with my crazy sprinkler at the backyard, gardening with mom or just about enjoying the sun and the water and my friends.
Here's one afternoon where I had a blast with my neighbors A & Z. Good thing my mom brought her camera to record this first for me. Promise not to laugh at me as you watch this video. My friends are fearless, I know. What if something happens to my chest? Even though, I did it my way, I know my mom is proud of me as I did my slip in the slide. She kept on shouting Hurray and I did good! Such encouraging words. (hehehehe) Although the 4 minute video hoped that I would change my sliding style, ahhh...Nope, not yet! Maybe next time. Still, my mom was proud of me!
Also, Z and I had a discussion in the middle of the video as I know it was my turn and Z thought it was his turn, Mom wanted to be fair so she called us out. Z, still took the slide. Two year olds. I am just glad I am now three! Been there, done that!

We housesitted K's pool as they spent their break at Illinois so we had the pool all by ourselves. On the video, we were at the 6 ft area. Dad kept on saying " Wag kang malikot " He was so scared that I might cause the little boat to tumble. That was my goal really. ;) No, I just wanted to reach for the ball! That's all! I was having fun! And so did mom! And dad..in a weird way! Mas takot ata sya kesa sa natutuwa!
The video made mom laugh so hard her tummy ached. Also, the video ended with dad rushing to the safe zone of the pool, the 3 ft area. I got my floaties all the time. Plus I had my swimming lessons too. That's why I was so fearless, while Dad was trying to be brave. Malalim daw.

My Birthday Pics
I would say this party is totally unforgettable. It started with everyone planning (Mom, Dad and Nongnong) two months before we decided to have the party at home. At first, they wanted to have a Disney party but then Dad figured it would be better to have it here at home just like last year! They divided chores like N would find a cake decorator, Mom would cook caldereta, gratin etc and Dad would cook the lechon!
It was fun listening to their discussion as my day came! I feel so special and loved! Thank you Lord for 3 wonderful years!
Whew, so what do I remember on the 19th of April..? Let me see, I woke up without Mom and Dad beside me. Dad and Mom had to wake up at 4am for the lechon. Mom had been telling Dad that it will be a rainy day but Dad just wont give up. I think I got that from Dad though. So the two of them, made tuhog the lechon (yeah this is Mom talking..typing) and tried to set it up in the lechon station. Then it rained.So they had to get the tent and set it up. We had to wake up NJ so he helped Mom and Dad set up the tent. Then Mom had to put the umbrella on the halogen lantern/light as it was still dark at this time. Dad had to put all the log to start the fire. Sobrang labor of love! Thank God MJ came at 7am and by then they had finally set up the lechon area. Woohooo..hopefully it comes alright at 2pm in time for the party!
Meantime, Ninang S was very supportive of Mom. Mom was ready to cook the caldereta as she had already sliced the ingredients. Ninang S volunteered to cook and asked Mom for extra ingredients. Afterwards, Mom was about to fry the lumpia but Lola E offered to do the same. Then Mom prepared the marinated chicken and pork. She baked the chicken, cut it in half and baked the potato gratin which she did last night! She got the shrimps from the ref and placed it on the buffet table. Oh Ninang S made the semi- sweet chocolate dip for the choco fountain which I so love. Too bad I did not get to have a picture of that! That was way too cool. Thank you NInang S for everything! At 9am, the 18 ft giant slide came. It was sunny this time. Thank you Lord for a very good weather! God is so good and he miraculously turned the weather from a rainy one into a sunny one! Alleluia!
By 1 pm, Mom and I had taken our shower and had dressed up. My early guests were the Abad's, the Lorenzo's and the Mandapat's. All of the kids were having fun but I get to be in my long sleeves buzz shirt with a buzz tie so I cannot go out and play. I have been bugging Mom to change my clothes but Mom insists that I wear it for the meantime! I was just envious of the other kids like Pia, Abby and Martin who have turned the slide into a wet one! I see their faces and I cried. If only I could be in the slide too!
Finally, at 2 pm, we have set up everything except for the lechon. It was already cooked. It was a success but chopping it took some time so guests had to wait for some more! The guests came, and I felt so loved as each had a present for me. I cant wait to open them but I need to go out in the slide first. Thank God Mom allowed me to change into my trunks and gave me sunblock. It's hot outside but the water was cold! Never mind..I'm having fun! Brrrr...Who's complaining?
As I was in the water, Lola E gave me some lumpia. My gosh, I havent eaten my lunch yet. By 3pm, Mom went outside and gave me pancit molo cooked by Tita D. It was so good! I love it. Tita A volunteered to feed me as Mom had to attend to the guests too. My gosh, Ive never seen Mom so busy. Thank God Mom had great friends or else the party will not be a success!
We played games too..I did not join them for soldier hunt but it was Martin who won that contest. Then we all went to the pabitin. I saw Kayla crying afterwards as she did not get the rocket that she wanted. I got a tiny balloon as Dad placed me on top of his shoulder so I was ecstatic. Mom gave Kayla another prize but Kayla wanted the rocket so she cried! Too bad..
Then we had the pinata! Oh I get to hit BUZZ or alien with my bat. I loved it! Afterwards, we all went crazy picking up the candies from the pinata! It was so much fun!
We had ice cream afterwards. Constant visit to the buffet table and choco fountain made me full at this time. Then it was time to blow my candle! This is the fun part. I get to enjoy every moment of it. I love it when Mom played the cd with the happy birthday song and then paused it afterwards. Then , it was my guests/friends who sang happy birthday with much gusto! After the birthday song, I paused, then I blew the 3 candles with Mom and Dad beside me! I clapped my hands afterwards as I felt I did a good job! Then everyone clapped their hands too. Yehey..I did it! All my friends saw that I did it! Years of training and practice made me succesful in blowing my candle on my birthday cake this time. Oh, did I mention I have two birthday cakes both with Buzz light year! Can you beat that??Each cake had half buter and half choco. Now it was time to slice the cake and I had my own slice first. I distributed the other slices as well. Whew..This is ultra fun!
Guests started to leave at 5 pm except for our pinoy neighbors! By 6pm, Tito B asked Mom if she had lemon, ginger as he wanted to cook SISIG. Dad watched how Tito B did it. Soon after we were all eating this yummy sisig and guys are now all over in the kitchen asking for beer. Tito C had to go to Publix to get some beer.
I opened the presents afterwards and this was the best part! I get to have all the things I ever wanted like the buzz train from Tita Melody, a Toy story Dvd from Ninong Rommel, etc etc..i loved opening all my presents one after the other..This is the life!
Then by 10pm , I was too tired so mom dressed me up in my pjs and tucked me in their bed. I wont let go of MOm so she slept with me. Her plan was to get up as soon as I fell asleep. Well, she got up at 1am instead! Yeah, she was that tired! She cleaned up a few more hours and by 4am , she was back to bed. She woke up at 7am to cook breakfast for everyone as my loving neighbors are back again at our house at 8am. Everyone just wants to hang around at the backyard, at the slide. We played Speedminton, watered the plants, etc..It was such a nice view watching our guests as they were all having fun!
Dad said he will cook paksiw na lechon but he went back to bed at 9am and slept till 1pm. Thus it was Ninang S who cooked the paksiw na lechon and it was really good! We just had sausage for breakfast and now lechon for lunch! My gosh, I dont think the party will ever end!
By 2pm, Ninang S had to say bye as they had to go to Tallahassee before going home! I am sad as my playtime with Pia had ended. But then I know I will get to see them again pretty soon. Pia will have her 5th birthday soon and I cant wait to see her!
That's it! By this time, Mom and Dad are just relaxing and recalling how great the party was thanks be to God. And next year, my birthday will be in Disney. See, they're already planning about it. My parents just love me..and I love them back!

Somehow, Manny Pacquiao is always present in our family gatherings. This fight was different as it was not yet my birthday or mom's or dad's. Nevertheless, the food was great (potluck style)last Saturday. I heard Tito B said.."Spread" when it was time to eat. We brought Baked Lechon Pata which everyone loved, Tita D cooked pansit sotanghon and lumpiang shanghai, Tito B cooked jumbo shrimps, Tito J cooked Bicol Express, Tito C had deep friend tilapia, Tita E made her famous yok-choy with oyster sauce and for dessert, Tita E brought Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.

I had a wonderful time at I's party. What makes me excited is that Im going to be the next one! Weeeee..Being two is already wonderful and I just cannot wait to be three!! Mom is also excited planning for my party. Theyre thinking of having it in Orlando since it will be a spring break for everyone! We'll keep you posted.

What a wonderful party! They served spaghetti, fried chicken, french fries, pizza, onion rings, ice cream, dimsum! American style daw pero pinoy kami lahat. What turned out was that our tummies were all filled with yummy food and we even stayed until dinner after watching that movie. Great times! Great party I! Happy 3rd birthday!

I started to say weewee and poopoo! and boy oh boy I did it. I weed in the potty! Ive never seen mom so proud and dad so happy! I guess I am into it as I had been doing it straight for the last 3 days! A perfect christmas present I should say!
Mom is still scared to let me go as she puts on my pull ups at night! I dont wet it and I go to the potty every morning! Dry pull ups is a good sign I think as I saw mom did her thumbs up sign!!

Can you imagine Lola took care of everyone in the picture??How she does that??That's her secret!!But I think I know her secret!!Time management!! I am very good at that!!
First things first, the girls..(I am the only thorn among the roses), come here on schedule. Lacey, who is Lola's favorite aside from me, comes M-F. Mia comes on R-F. Madison comes on MWF. Steph comes rarely. I think Lola took care of her twice only! But I love being with her. I went to her birthday party last September. I should invite her on my party next year!
My mom goes to school on T and R only so most of the time I am with her! Besides, even though I spent a lot of time with Lola, once I know that Mom is off from school, I am pretty sure I am back to sticking with her and guarding her every second of the day making sure that she does not leave me. Mommy's boy nga talaga ako!
This was a very difficult group picture!! Its difficult too for Lola as Lacey spends her last day today! She will go to a daycare starting Monday as Lola will leave for Pinas this month! Lola needs to take care of Lolo too, you know!!

Aunt Tammy, Madison's mom, gave me this! She saw this today and she just cannot resist the urge to buy this! She even went out of her way, i mean, she brought this outfit at my house lunchtime. She is really sweet!!Add to that, she gave Madison's clothes for my cousin Julienne in the Philippines. Too bad, Lola cannot bring all those boxes for my cuz. Anyway, Mom chose a few clothes so that will surely make my cuz happy!!

After lunch, Mom decided to visit Stephen who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow! His party will be today in time for halloween! Notice that he is Incrediboy while Im wearing scrubs (it has basketball, soccer ball, etc as its design given by Tito Emerson) and I got my medical kit and stethoscope. You see, I am going to be a doctor! That's what Mom and Dad has been telling me! I want to be like Lolo Ruben when I grow up! A doctor!!Yeah, that's me!

Then, we came back at 5pm for his actual birthday party! We were all dressed up for trick or treating at 7pm here in our village! We stuffed ourselves with yummy pancit, barbecue, beefstew, adobo, chopseuy and grilled portabella mushrooms!! Of course, Stephen's party will not be complete without us singing the happy birthday song! Isabelle was dressed us as princess Jasmine, Stephen changed from Incrediboy to Superman while I just changed my scrubs from ball design to a mickey mouse design! I still had my stethoscope with me the whole time! Feel ko talagang maging doctor!!

It was a great party! I wish Dad would allow me to go trick or treat when I get older! I think it's alright with Mom but with Dad, I don't know! Buti nga napapayag sya ni mom na mag costume ako! Pero hanggang costume lang..Di bale, I had fun pa rin kasi I got to play with Joe, Stephen, Isabelle and Jake. Enjoy!!:)

Little Einstein & Hungry hippo

I love to watch Little Einstein! I have a favorite episode, "Carmine's Race". Seriously, I could watch that 30 minute show over and over again! My mom and dad thinks I have seen this way too much. I just couldnt resist this episode. I think I have outgrown High Five, Blue's Clues and the Wiggles. This is like my national anthem everyday! Mom is thinking of putting this episode in the DVD but I insist I watch it in the living room tv. Thank God we have Tivo so I can keep this episode until I delete it. Dad does not even want to listen to this show anymore sawang sawa na daw sya!
Also, Lacey has a toy "Hungry hippo" It plays that song whenever you push it. She still cannot walk (she's 13 months old) but whenever she pushes this toy it gives you that song. It is so funny. Everyone in the house would just hum this tune. " HUngry hippo, hungry hippo..Today, it was Lola who sung it. She sang, "Hungry Hippo, hungry hippo..before she sat down on the sofa. I can hear dad sing this in the shower too..But it was really lola who made me laugh!!!

Behaved boy!

Whenever we go to church, I am now behaved. Behaved as in Mom and Dad can finish the whole mass without us going to the crying room! As long as I have my car toys and my paper and pencil, I am really quiet and behaved. I can sense that Mom is really proud of me! I also like to go to church because I can dress up in my porma clothes. I even insist on putting on my hat! And I pick my shoes and dress too!
When I am in the church, I would also use my quiet voice when I want to talk to Mom or Dad. It's like a whisper voice, saying mik..for milk and fish, for my goldfish crackers!! Bait ko noh?

Tonight, Lola played a joke on me. When this was on, she pressed the "pause" on the remote. I quipped "Oh No!" with sad face. When she pressed "Play" I started dancing and smiling again! I love this song really!

Vomit time!

Today was not a very good day for me! I woke up at 7am and I had a glass of milk! I then asked mom to give me a glass of orange juice. She gave me her glass and I was happy! Until lunch came, I threw up!Tsk..and then I drank my sippy cup! After 2 hours, I again threw up! Mom's powers was put into test as she had to clean my mess afterwards! And then I had to vomit again for 3 more times. Mom was really worried although she was trying to look calm! She had to change my clothes five times, our beddings three times, and her clothes six times! I was throwing up all over! In my playroom, in our bedroom, in my bedroom! You can just smell me. To make it worst, Lola does not want me to take a shower! Baka daw mabinat! Mom had been monitoring my temp and I never went pass 37. 35.7 was the highest!
At 1100 pm, I finally went to sleep! I think Mom is still awake. Dad said that Mom has to bring me to the doctor tomorrow if I am still like this--which I think is unlikely!
Mom also thanked the washer and the dryer! Imagine having 5 bedsheets and comforters!!Oh and I heard her thank the laminate wood floors! Imagine, if we had carpet!!

I love to watch Incredibles. MOm is a little worried. She thinks its too violent for me. This afternoon, she caught me putting the incredibles dvd. I just finished watching my favorite shamu rocks dvd and I have decided to watch incredibles. Mom's timing is perfect. She saw me. She was surprised I know how to operate the tv and dvd.
I can say incredible as "beble". My favorite dvd is still "cars" given by Ninong Rommel. I would shout "ca" when I want to watch it.
My fave tv show at the moment is "little einstein" I would say " en-en"
Whoever taught me how to speak chinese?
Oh, I can say "opo" clearly. Especially when Im in the corner and mom tells me "be nice or you'll stay here in the corner" I would quip "OPO"...Ahhhh..makes my mom melt!

Somebody threw human feces in our community pool last July16. I am sure whoever did that thought it was a nice thing to do. Hmp! Thank God Dad and Ninong Carlo has a unit here at Baldwin. Its just a minute drive from our place but I do not mind as I get to enjoy the pool all by myself. I call this our Pool Number Two.
At first, I would cry whenever we pass by Pool NUmber ONe. I am crying because I want my Dad to stop the car so I can swim. They explained that we will now go to Pool NUmber Two because of that not so nice incident. They did clean and close our community pool for 24 hours but mom and dad thinks otherwise. So every afternoon, this is now where we hang out. Believe it or not, nobody swims here but us!! I guess they have not discovered this pool yet! We swim every afternoon between 6-8pm. Look, I know how to kick!!!

Typhoon Lagoon- Orlando

We went to Typhoon Lagoon and I had a wonderful time!The wave pool had a booming sound, parang alarm but I did not mind it. I enjoyed the pool very much and also the Ketchakidee creek where they had all sorts of slides a kid like me could imagine. In one of their slides, I was forced to remove my swimwear (but I still had my swimmers on huh) kasi my swimming outfit won't let me slide. Eh di hinubad ko at super saya.
On this pic, dad and I shared some cashews. Pero balik din ako agad sa tubig. I had to change clothes kasi yung floater ko, butas. Thank God, Ninang Sarah had an extra swimgear. Well, nothing can stop me from having fun!

It's Martin' 8th birthday here at Jacksonville. What could be a perfect celebration than have swimming after his candle blowing!

I just cried when we had to go home. Dad said we'll get to swim once more because we are heading to Typhoon Lagoon- a disney water theme park tomorrow. I just cry everytime we say goodbye to the pool. Lola said I got that from my dad. He would always cry whenever they say bye to the pool when they had their swimming trip. Mana naman pala ako sa tatay ko eh..

I love swimming!! It's friday and it's swimming day. Actually, every day na nga halos eh panay swimming kami.
I would be delighted if I would hear mom or dad say "Come, let's go swimming" I would have this expression "Swimming" with a big smile in my face that makes mom and dad's heart melt. Today, I even learned treading. I dont want mom or dad to hold me anymore. I want to swim all by myself. Kaya ko talaga. Ill post the video after this picture ok?

We had our father's day celebration at St. Andrews! I enjoyed the playground, the beach, the food, and my playmates. 8 families brought food and I got to play with everyone! Dad is the best as he was the one who planned for this cook out. I enjoyed it to the fullest!

Shipwreck Island

Just like last year, I had a blast at Shipwreck island today. Almost all our pinoy neighbors were present! As soon as I dipped myself in the wave pool, Dad had a hard time in getting me out. I had a great time in the lazy river and the slide pool too. It was a perfect day!! The sun was shining, the hotdogs and burgers and cookies were all yummy!
I wish I could stay here forever! There will be next time I am sure. What a wonderful day!!

Mom and Dad gave me a wonderful birthday party now that I am two years old. I had a blast! All my friends came like the Abad's, the Lorenzo's, the Mandapat's. the Casiple's, the Corridor's, the Naciloan's, the Chandler's. the Pabia's, and my mom's classmates like Tita Rose and Tita Luna. We had lumpia shanghai, spaghetti, kare kare, inihaw na liempo, chicken bbq and fried turkey. For the dessert, we had maja blanca, leche flan, puto, biko, etc. Tita Eia baked my delicious cake with the theme Cars. I was geared up as a racing car champ courtesy of Tita Sarah.
I really had a wonderful time. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Dad, Mom, Lola and I went fishing at the Marina Civic Center. Patience is a virtue. We did not catch any fish today. Tsk.. Maybe next time. It was fun though.

hello..im almost two..can you believe that?..
today, isabelle dropped by my house (unexpectedly?) and im sharing with her my slide. yup..guess what? i showed a big improvement. maybe because i became used to playing with my cousins that i got to really play with isaw and enjoy her company. no crying moments whatsoever. just silly stuff, running around. no pushing, no biting. just plain having fun. see..i can see mom being proud of me..im no bully..isaw and i just had a great playtime.

Mig shopped together with his cousins Daniel and Earl. It was a shopping spree for the Sarmiento's. Mig was very behaved as he settled for a pair of pants and a t shirt from Ninong Joseph. But this red hat caught his attention that's why Ninong Joseph added it to his shopping bag.
It was a great day at Destin outlet. I love shopping!!

This is the filipino community having our early christmas party at Ninong Joseph's house. Ninong Joseph had his house rented by the Dancel's and the Nacilo-an's. Well, that's another story to tell.
It was potluck style and we all had fun. Well, I had fun crying. I dont know but I seemed to be scared with other people. I just cant stop crying when Isabel comes near me, when Stephen touches me..Oh well, I sure cried out loud. Tsk.. I know I will change someday. I just have to be used to other people's company. You cant blame me. Im used to just having mom around me all the time err..
Back to the party, we had lots of food and lots of presents. I did not want to have my pic taken with all the other kids. I prefer to have my solo pic under the fireplace. Japorms eh..Everyone loved my christmas vest. Naks, pormatiks talaga..Iyakin nga lang..waaaahhh...

I just love my dad! Everone says Im his junior. I just look like him!

I am so happy that Dad gets to spend time with me. Though he comes home tired, he will ask mom if he can feed me or give me my bath. Mom is always on schedule so too late for Dad. I make sure I drop whatever I am doing the moment I see Dad. I crawl mighty fast towards his direction! And I give him my sweetest TWO teeth smile (there's 4 coming soon- ouch, they hurt so bad)

At lunch time, the doorbell rang. Mom and I were not expecting anybody so we were both surprised to see a man with a beautiful flower arrangement. Today is their 2nd wedding anniversary and they plan to have dinner at Ferruci, an italian restaurant in downtown Panama. This means I'll be entrusted to Lola Julie for the 2nd time around.
The flowers are really nice. I saw mom blushed as he called dad at his work. Later I heard her nag at the price of the flowers. Cash na lang daw sana. Nanay ko talaga oh..

I heard mom and dad talking about their anniversary! 3 yrs na daw silang mag-on. Apparently, they had a whirlwind romance. Whatever, what's important is now I'm here.. My parents are so baduy! They still greet each other monthsaries..Mushy..
I can now play all by myself! Mom would put me in this comforter. If she only knows, Im trying to figure out how to crawl! This comforter will soon be out here.
Im scared of our wood floors though. But, I have no choice. Ayoko namang forever nakaupo lang. Besides, im brave just like my dad. Soon I'll explore the entire house! Oopps, kakatapos lang nga pala naming magsimba!!

It's Mom'32nd bday! Dad cooked everything from kare-kare to pancit to give Mom this fabulous birthday party! Mom was really touched by dad's sweetness!

Today, I was born. I weighed 6 lbs 4.9 oz and was 19 inches long. Mom and Dad is surely happy to have me in their arms. Mom was all smiles now as she pushed me for only 20 minutes. Dad was the super coach and took pictures of me at once. He even counted my toes and checked my fingers..
